Precision slotted lines such as the 900-LB were designed for microwave transmission-line measurements including standing-wave ratio (VSWR), reflection, impedance, wavelength, phase, and characterization of RF components and terminations. The GR900 system uses General Radio's precision coaxial connector architecture and was intended for laboratory-grade microwave measurements where low connector reflections and repeatable reference planes are important.
