The HE-3-TLOSL configuration provides optical access to the sample while allowing the sample to be top-loaded into the helium-3 chamber, enabling sample exchange without warming the full cryostat\/dewar system. Helium-3 cryostats operate by condensing He-3 against a pumped He-4 \/ 1 K stage, then lowering the vapor pressure over the liquid He-3 bath to reach sub-Kelvin temperatures, commonly below 300 mK depending on configuration, charge, heat load, pumps, wiring, and operating condition.
