Unlike conventional loss-on-drying moisture balances, the Vapor Pro XL uses an advanced relative humidity (RH) sensor to specifically measure water released from the sample. During analysis, the sample is placed in a vial and heated under controlled conditions while a user-supplied stream of dry nitrogen or dry air carrier gas transports evolved water vapor to the RH sensor for quantitative measurement. This reagent-free technique provides a convenient alternative to Karl Fischer titration \/ KF moisture analysis, eliminating Karl Fischer reagents, solvents, electrodes, and titration glassware while allowing detection of moisture concentrations as low as 10 ppm and measurement across a broad 10 ppm to 100% moisture range. The VPXL supports programmable heating from approximately 25°C to 300°C, stepped-temperature methods, customizable test endpoints, stored test programs, moisture curves, and results reported as % moisture, ppm moisture, or µg water.
