The IRRIS-256ST uses a 256 × 256 element InSb (indium antimonide) focal plane array with Stirling-cycle detector cooling for high thermal sensitivity across the approximately 3 to 5 µm mid-wave infrared spectral range. The system provides radiometric thermal imaging with 12-bit digital output and was designed for applications requiring substantially greater sensitivity, stability, and quantitative temperature measurement capability than conventional uncooled thermal cameras.
