This Ace Glass 8766-12 Firestone Rapid Purge Valve is an air-free / Schlenk-line glass purge valve with hose connection to system, designed for rapid replacement of air in reaction vessels with inert or reactive gases such as nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, or chlorine. The Firestone valve design allows the user to alternate between house vacuum and purge gas with a simple stopcock turn, helping purge reaction systems quickly without mercury, a reducing valve, or a high-vacuum source. Useful for air-sensitive synthesis, inert-atmosphere reactions, manifold work, and general organic / organometallic lab setups. Liquid seal medium is not included; inspect photos for exact glass condition, connections, and included components.
