"The Biolog OmniLog 71000 is an advanced automated system used for microbial identification and phenotypic analysis. It combines a temperature-controlled incubator, optical reader, and data collection software to monitor the metabolic activity of microorganisms in Biolog MicroPlates.
This system continuously records colorimetric changes in up to 50 plates, providing detailed growth and metabolic profiles for bacterial or yeast samples. Commonly used in clinical, environmental, food, and research laboratories, the OmniLog identifies microorganisms based on their biochemical reactions rather than genetic or mass spectrometry methods."
