The C.B.S. Scientific P-036-202 is a 36" PCR Workstation / Dead Air Box designed to help protect sensitive PCR amplification work against cross-contamination and airborne contamination in the open lab environment. Manufacturer literature identifies the P-036-202 as the dual-UV version with approximately 24" x 24" x 36" dimensions, work surface, hinged face shield, single access closure, two fluorescent lights, two UV bulbs, integral 12-hour timer, duplex outlet, and a safety interlock that shuts off UV exposure when the hood is opened. This style of enclosure is commonly used for PCR setup, sample preparation, pipetting, reagent organization, and other clean pre-amplification workflows where a self-contained dead-air workspace is preferred.
