This is a surplus lot of Corning PYREX 32960 and KIMBLE KIMAX low-form Gooch-style glass crucibles with fritted discs for laboratory filtration, gravimetric analysis, precipitate collection, drying, and weighing workflows. The PYREX 32960 low-form Gooch crucibles are 30 mL crucibles with 30 mm fritted discs, available in fine, medium, or coarse porosity depending suffix; Corning lists coarse as 40 to 60 µm, medium as 10 to 15 µm, and fine as 4 to 5.5 µm. KIMBLE’s comparable KIMAX/KIMFLOW Gooch crucibles are also 30 mL borosilicate glass crucibles with sealed-in fritted discs and similar fine/medium/coarse porosity options. These crucibles are particularly suited for analytical work where precipitates are dried to constant weight at 110°C; higher-temperature furnace use is possible, but sudden temperature changes should be avoided.
