This Exergy 02655-10 is a 73 Series double tubesheet sanitary shell and tube heat exchanger constructed from 316L stainless steel for high-purity process heating/cooling applications. The unit features a 3.0" shell, 253 tubes, 31" tube length, 0.125" tube OD, and approximately 20.30 ft² heat transfer area, with 3" ASME-BPE tube-side flanges and 1-1/2" ASME-BPE shell-side flanges. Exergy’s sanitary shell and tube exchangers are designed for pharmaceutical, biotech, food/beverage, WFI/PW, CIP/SIP, and high-purity process service, with double tubesheet construction used to reduce/eliminate risk of cross-contamination between product and working fluids. Rated by Exergy for 700 psi tube side, 400 psi shell side, 800°F max temperature, and 125 psi steam service, subject to sanitary clamp limitations and application-specific verification.
