This INFICON water-cooled quartz crystal monitor sensor holder is used in vacuum thin-film deposition systems for rate and thickness monitoring with QCM deposition controllers/monitors. The assembly appears to be a water-cooled crystal holder/feedthrough style sensor for use inside high-vacuum or UHV coating chambers, with a DN35CF / 2.75" ConFlat mounting flange and stainless in-vacuum construction. Water cooling helps stabilize the quartz crystal during evaporation/sputtering processes where radiant heat from the source can affect measurement stability. Useful as a replacement or spare QCM sensor head for optical coating, semiconductor, OLED, MBE, thermal evaporation, e-beam evaporation, and general thin-film deposition systems.
