This is a neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet / Nd:YAG laser rod crystal measuring approximately 160 mm long x 9 mm diameter, suitable for optical science, laser research, solid-state laser repair, flashlamp-pumped or diode-pumped laser experiments, photonics education, spectroscopy setups, and general laboratory optical component use. Nd:YAG is a widely used solid-state laser gain medium, commonly associated with 1064 nm infrared laser operation, and is used in pulsed, CW, Q-switched, industrial, medical, research, and optical bench laser systems. This rod is being sold as an optical/scientific component; exact dopant concentration, coating type, end-face coating wavelength, and laser compatibility are unknown unless visibly marked or otherwise shown in the photos.
