We tested this Ocean Optics HR4Pro High-Resolution Spectrometer and it’s working as it should; we connected it to our computer (not included), confirmed communication in software, and verified stable spectral acquisition. This unit is configured for 416-504 nm with a 005 (5 µm) slit and H12 high-dispersion grating; that combo is intentionally narrowband so you get maximum resolution and peak separation in the blue/cyan region instead of spreading pixels across the whole visible.
This configuration is a great fit for laser/LED wavelength and drift verification (blue sources around ~450-490 nm), resolving closely spaced emission lines (plasma/arc/atomic emission work), and fast spectral time-series capture where you care about subtle peak shifts, splitting, or shoulders. Tech highlights (manufacturer specs: some performance is configuration-dependent): 3.8 ms-10 s integration time, ~300:1 SNR, ~6 counts RMS dark noise, ~0.5% corrected linearity, order-sorting filter and detector collection lens for cleaner measurements, SMA 905 fiber input, and user-interchangeable slit for tuning throughput vs resolution if you ever reconfigure.
