This Phenomenex Zebron ZB-Bioethanol 7HG-G020-22 is a 30 meter capillary GC column with 0.25 mm internal diameter and 1.00 µm film thickness, designed for rapid fuel ethanol / denatured bioethanol analysis by gas chromatography. Phenomenex specifically lists this column configuration for ASTM Method D5501 work, separating methanol, ethanol, and gasoline denaturant components using GC-FID or GC-MS methods. Compared with the older 100 meter ZB-1 method column, the ZB-Bioethanol phase was developed to reduce bioethanol run times while maintaining resolution of methanol and ethanol from denaturant interferences. Useful for biofuel QC labs, ethanol production testing, fuel alcohol analysis, and chromatography method development.
