About this system, "The HunterLab ColorFlex EZ is a compact benchtop 45°/0° colorimetric spectrophotometer built for fast, repeatable reflectance color measurement in CIE Lab*, Hunter Lab, LCh, XYZ, and related color-difference spaces, making it a staple tool for labs and QA environments that need reliable pass/fail color control without a huge footprint. This unit uses a pulsed xenon light source with a 256-element diode-array spectrophotometer, covers 400 to 700 nm with 10 nm reporting and ≤3 nm spectral resolution, reads a 25.4 mm measured area through a 31.8 mm illuminated port, and supports multiple illuminants and 2°/10° observers for serious method flexibility. HunterLab specs call out inter-instrument agreement to ∆E* ≤ 0.15 average and repeatability to ∆E* ≤ 0.05 on white tile, while the platform also stores up to 250 setups and 2000 readings for streamlined production work.
