Read description fully- not everything is included to make this system fully operational. We tested PART of this system by supplying power to and connecting the VSM Control panel units to the PC and booting up the IDEAS-VSM software. This showed that the control units appropriately communicated with the computer and it's software. No testing beyond this was conducted. We did not plug in the power supply cabinet since we do not have 3-phase power at our facility.

About this system "The Lake Shore 7307 Vibrating Sample Magnetometer is a research-grade magnetic materials characterization system used to measure the magnetic moment and magnetic behavior of small samples as a function of applied magnetic field. In normal operation, a sample is mounted on a holder and vibrated between pickup coils while the electromagnet applies a controlled magnetic field; the induced signal is then measured and converted into magnetic moment data. VSM systems like this are commonly used for hysteresis loop measurements, saturation magnetization, coercivity, remanence, magnetic susceptibility, thin film analysis, nanoparticle magnetic characterization, ferrite and rare earth magnet research, superconducting materials, magnetic powders, ceramics, geological samples, spintronics materials, and general solid-state physics / materials science research. This package includes major Lake Shore VSM components including the 735 VSM Controller, 450 Gaussmeter, EM 1188 Electromagnet, power supply/control hardware, IDEAS-VSM software PC, Ni standard, zero gauss chamber, sample holders, and related accessories.
This system is being sold as an incomplete VSM platform for refurbishment, parts, or system integration. Testing was limited to supplying power to the included control electronics, connecting the VSM control panel units to the included PC, booting the IDEAS-VSM software, and verifying that the units communicated with the computer/software. No magnetic measurement, calibration run, Ni standard hysteresis loop, field sweep, sensitivity verification, or full system performance test was performed. Please note that the drive probe assembly, temperature controller, monitor, and mouse are not included, so this system is not currently complete for standard VSM operation without additional components. It will require some work on the VSM probe that sits between the magnets."
Due to its size and weight it must be shipped via freight on two pallets. Buyer is responsible for the cost of freight shipping to their facility.
