The Shimadzu TOV-Vwp is a UV/persulfate wet-oxidation TOC analyzer with NDIR detection, PC-controlled operation, and optional autosamplers (ASI-V, not included) for high-throughput NPOC, TC, IC, and TOC workflows. It supports automatic acidification/sparging, multi-point calibration, audit-trail/21 CFR part 11 software, and pharmacopeial compliance (usp <643>, ep 2.2.44, jp). Strengths: exceptional low-level sensitivity (low µg/L), short cycle times, minimal maintenance (no furnace/catalyst), stable baselines for UPW, and robust performance on clean to moderately saline matrices. Shimadzu’s TOC-VW can be operated as a UV/Persulfate TOC, a Heated/Persulfate TOC, or as a unique Heated-UV-Persulfate TOC system. The three oxidation methods ensure rapid breakdown of difficult-to-oxidize compounds up to 1.6 mm in diameter and shorter analysis time. The most powerful wet chemical TOC on the market, it is capable of measuring down to 0.5 ppb of TOC and up to 3000 ppm.
