TESTED Beckman Coulter LS 13 320 Particle Size Analyzer w/ ALM Module & Computer
Testing included:
The Beckman Coulter LS 13 320 was connected to a computer and operated using the Aqueous Liquid Module. The system successfully completed its normal preparation cycle, including fluid circulation, background measurement, optical alignment, and sample analysis.
Testing was performed using Beckman Coulter GB500 particle-size control beads. The system generated the following results:
d10: 520 um / d50: 582 um / d90: 650 um
All three measurements fell within the acceptance limits printed on the supplied Beckman Coulter assay sheet. The system produced a narrow, single-peak particle-size distribution consistent with the GB500 reference sample. Photos of described results can be seen on photos #23-24. About this system, "The Beckman Coulter LS 13 320 is a laboratory particle size analyzer / particle size distribution analyzer used to measure powders, suspensions, emulsions, beads, sediments, ceramics, minerals, pharmaceuticals, polymers, pigments, slurries, abrasives, and other particulate materials. This system uses laser diffraction particle sizing with PIDS optical technology to determine particle size distribution across a broad measurement range, reporting values such as d10, d50, d90, volume distribution, and single-peak or multi-peak sample profiles. This unit is configured with the Beckman Coulter Aqueous Liquid Module / ALM wet dispersion module, allowing samples to be circulated in liquid for repeatable wet particle analysis. Systems like this are commonly used in analytical labs, QC laboratories, R&D labs, materials science, powder characterization, chemical processing, pharmaceutical formulation, geology, cement, ceramics, battery materials, coatings, food science, environmental testing, and industrial process control. Comparable particle size analyzers include Malvern Mastersizer, Horiba LA series, Microtrac, Cilas, Sympatec, and other laser diffraction particle characterization instruments."
Due to the size and weight of this system, it must be shipped via freight. Buyer is responsible for the cost of freight shipping to their facility.
