Custom machine-vision grain inspection and sorting system with industrial camera, PC workstation, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and associated cables as shown. This appears to be a custom or research-built grain/kernel analysis platform rather than a standard mass-produced commercial model. Systems of this type are designed for high-speed image capture and analysis of individual kernels or seeds, and are commonly used to evaluate visible characteristics such as color, surface texture, appearance, and related sorting criteria. Potential applications include grain quality inspection, seed and kernel analysis, breeding and phenotyping work, agricultural research, defect detection, and specialty QA/QC workflows where visual screening of individual grains is needed.
This style of system is well suited for grain science labs, seed research programs, cereal science groups, agricultural engineering departments, and custom inspection workflows. PC-based imaging systems like this are useful for research, validation, and process development where users want more control over classification and sorting logic than is typically available in bulk commodity equipment. Cosmetic condition and included components are shown in the photos. No confirmed OEM make/model marking for the complete system was visible on the main unit, so it is being represented as a custom grain inspection/sorting system with camera and PC package.
This custom-style setup is consistent with the type of research grain sorting system described in the published literature by T.C. Pearson, including High-Speed Sorting of Grains by Color and Surface Texture; Applied Engineering in Agriculture 26(3):499-505; 2010, and related earlier work on color-image-based grain sorting. In that research, similar systems were developed for image-based inspection and separation of grain kernels using camera-based analysis of features such as kernel color, texture, and visible defects. This background is provided for general application context only; this listing does not claim institutional origin or exact publication provenance.
We do not guarantee this system can sort color out of the box: it will require some "playing with" the system to get it to sort properly. You may need some other software, or write a new program to get it to work. This system is offered for sale as a low-cost starting point, not a commercial-made/lab-grade out-of-the-box-functional solution.
Due to the size of this system, it must be shipped via freight. Buyer is responsible for freight shipping costs.
