Tested Hitachi TM-1000 Tabletop Scanning Electron Microscope SEM System w/ PC

Testing Included:
-System powers on and communicates with the TM-1000 control software. The vacuum system pumps down and reaches the READY condition.
-The SEM was tested by imaging multiple samples, including a strand of hair and an AFM calibration grid. Clear, recognizable SEM images were successfully obtained. Magnification, X/Y sample positioning, brightness, contrast, manual focus, Auto Focus, Fast/Slow scanning, and image acquisition were tested.
-The included photos show actual images obtained during our testing, including the hair sample at 1000× magnification (photos 1 and 2) and AFM Cal Grid (photo 14) at 10,000× magnification. The AFM calibration grid was used as an imaging sample only to show approximately how accurate the shown length scale is (the cal grid measures 10um from square to square in the same position, so this microscope is measuring fairly accurately). We did not calibrate this instrument, but it did pass an optical alignment procedure without issue. We only include a properly threaded bolt to fit into the sample stage, we don't have any sample holders to send with this system.
