The Teledyne Benthos DS-8750 Acoustic Deck Set, is a professional-grade underwater sonar system component used for acoustic measurements and marine applications. Tested transducer, speaker, battery, and power cable. All in good functioning condition. We replaced the battery in April 2026 with a brand new one so we could fully test the system.

About this equipment: The Teledyne Benthos DS-8750 Acoustic Deck Set is a topside controller used with compatible Benthos underwater acoustic release systems, including the 875A and 875-PUB. Rather than being a conventional sonar, this unit is used to send coded acoustic command signals for subsea release and recovery operations, making it useful for marine research, mooring recovery, underwater instrumentation retrieval, and other offshore field applications. The DS-8750 is designed for basic command functions, operates across the 7 to 15 kHz range in 500 Hz increments, and is capable of sending Benthos FSK commands. Its lightweight, portable, splash-proof design with internal rechargeable battery operation makes it well suited for use aboard vessels and in marine field environments.
