Tested Grass Model 79 Polygraph 4-Channel w/RPS 7C8 Regulator And 79W8G Chart 79F
Testing Included:
Unit was supplied power and front panel lights illuminated, and the chart recorder motor activated. Chart drive was tested at multiple speed settings and responded to speed changes. Amplifier modules powered on, and channel controls were adjusted to verify basic response. Internal calibration / baseline controls were checked where possible.
No physiological leads, transducers, input cables, ink pens/styli, or external accessories were available, so full functional testing with live sensors was not performed. Unit is being sold as tested for power-on, basic control response, and chart-drive operation only.
Used, see photos. March 1991.
Tested Grass Instruments Model 79 4-channel polygraph / physiological chart recorder system with RPS 7C8 regulated power supply / regulator and 79W8G chart/writing unit as shown. Grass Model 7x-series polygraphs were used as modular physiological recording systems for lab research, psychophysiology, EEG/EMG/EKG-style bio-signal recording, skin conductance/SCR, respiration, cardiac response, reaction-time/orienting-response studies, analog signal recording, teaching labs, and vintage instrumentation/display use. A museum listing for a Grass 7D notes use in university psychology research for SCR, cardiac response, reaction times, respiratory response, and orienting response; a used 79D listing describes a similar setup with DC driver amplifiers, RPS 7C8 voltage regulator, and printing unit. Unit has been tested as described/shown; no calibration, clinical certification, electrodes, transducers, ink, paper, manuals, software, or accessories included unless pictured. Sold as legacy research / lab / display equipment, not as a certified medical diagnostic device or legal lie-detector instrument.
Due to the size and weight of this system, it must be shipped via freight. Buyer is responsible for the cost of freight shipping to their facility.
