About this model of microplate reader: "The Molecular Devices SpectraMax Plus384 is a versatile UV/Vis absorbance microplate spectrophotometer built for labs that want real throughput without giving up cuvette capability. This reader handles standard 96- and 384-well microplates, strip-well plates, standard 10 mm pathlength cuvettes, and even 12 x 75 mm test tubes, making it a strong fit for core labs, pharma, biotech, academic, and QA/QC workflows. The Plus384 offers a monochromator-based wavelength range of 190 to 1000 nm in 1 nm increments, with ≤2.0 nm bandwidth, 0 to 4.000 OD photometric range, 0.001 OD resolution, xenon flash lamp illumination, and support for endpoint, kinetic, and full spectral scanning methods. Molecular Devices’ PathCheck technology enables pathlength correction to 1 cm equivalents in microplates, which is especially useful for nucleic acid and protein quantitation, ELISA, enzyme assays, microbial growth studies, endotoxin testing, and other absorbance-based methods where accuracy and flexibility matter. With its built-in cuvette port, broad application range, and compatibility with high-throughput plate formats, the SpectraMax Plus384 is a seriously capable absorbance reader for labs that need one instrument to cover a lot of ground."
