We tested this system with an ambient ozone generation machine and it was sensitive to it (levels rose when turned on). We did not calibrate this instrument. Ozone machine not included in purchase.

About this system:

"The Teledyne API Model 450 is a microprocessor-controlled UV photometric ozone analyzer designed for continuous O3 concentration measurement in industrial process monitoring, workplace safety, ozone generation systems, water and wastewater treatment, semiconductor processing, pharmaceutical production, food and beverage processing, environmental monitoring, research laboratories, and other applications requiring accurate low-level ozone detection. The Model 450 uses the UV absorption method based on Beer-Lambert law and offers user-selectable full-scale measurement ranges from 1 ppm to 1000 ppm, with selectable units including ppbv, ppmv, ppmw, pphm, µg/m³, and mg/m³. Specifications include a lower detectable limit below 0.003 ppm (3 ppb), zero noise below 0.0015 ppm RMS, span noise below 0.5% of reading above 0.1 ppm, linearity better than 1% full scale, and a response time of less than 30 seconds to 95%. Sample flow is approximately 1 to 2.5 L/min, with standard temperature and pressure compensation for improved measurement accuracy. The Model 450 platform was offered in single-stream, three-stream, and six-stream configurations for single-point or multi-point ozone monitoring and incorporates an internal sample pump, ozone destructor, programmable concentration alarms, built-in diagnostics, self-check warning alarms, menu-driven front-panel controls, and system status monitoring. Depending on configuration, interfaces can include selectable 0-100 mV, 0-1 V, 0-5 V, or 0-10 V analog outputs, optional isolated 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA output, relay outputs, remote stream-selection inputs, and bidirectional RS-232 communications for remote monitoring and control. The rack-mount instrument measures approximately 7 x 17 x 18.2 inches and is designed for ozone process control, ozone generator monitoring, ambient and enclosure safety monitoring, leak detection, ventilation control, oxidation-process monitoring, and laboratory gas analysis."
