The Thermo Scientific AerosolSense 2900-AA Bioaerosol Sampler is an indoor airborne pathogen surveillance air sampler designed for environmental monitoring in schools, offices, hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories, public buildings, and other high-traffic indoor spaces. The unit draws ambient room air through an omnidirectional inlet at up to 200 L/min and captures aerosolized particles onto a removable sampling cartridge/substrate for downstream laboratory analysis, typically PCR/qPCR testing. Thermo marketed the AerosolSense platform for surveillance of in-air pathogens including SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B, RSV, and other respiratory bioaerosol targets, making it useful for environmental health, infection control, occupational safety, indoor air quality studies, public health monitoring, and research workflows. Compact benchtop/floor-standing design with simple LED status indication, 100-240 VAC input, and minimal operator training requirements. Please note that this sampler collects air samples only; pathogen identification requires compatible consumable cartridges and separate lab testing/analysis.
