This is a Phenomenex / Zebron AG0-8319 Cool-Lock GC Capillary Nut for use with short-style ferrules on compatible Agilent / HP gas chromatograph systems, including commonly referenced 5850, 5890, 6850, 6890, and 7890 GC systems. The Cool-Lock design is intended to make GC capillary column installation faster and more reproducible by helping maintain a consistent column insertion depth, reducing the need to mark the column with Wite-Out, Tipp-Ex, or septa pieces. It is also designed with low thermal mass so it cools faster during column changes compared with standard GC nuts. Useful for GC column installation, inlet/detector connections, routine GC maintenance, chromatography labs, analytical chemistry labs, environmental testing labs, cannabis testing labs, petroleum testing, food/flavor analysis, and general Agilent GC service work.
